EasyJet appeals for passenger photos of Perseid Meteor Shower
EasyJet is calling on passengers who wereon flights on Wednesday night to share any images they might have of the Perseid Meteor Shower.
The airline said dozens of its flights were preparing to descend for landing back to their bases for the night during the peak of the spectacular natural fireworks show, which coincided with a new moon for the first time since 2007.
Passengers on flights such as EZY7066 from Nice to Liverpool which arrived into Liverpool John Lennon Airport just after midnight, would have also been in with a chance of seeing the International Space Station which was visible from 10:30 for four minutes.
With the light show expected to continue until Friday night, passengers on flights tonight and tomorrow also have the chance to catch this natural phenomenon.
EasyJet is advising passengers to keep their window blinds open.
