EasyJet carryings rise 15% in May
EasyJet saw passenger numbers increase by more than 15% to 2.9 million in May over the same month last year.
The budget carrier’s load factor declined marginally to 83.9% in the month against 84.1% in May 2005.
Rolling 12 months figures show revenues up 21% to £1,501 million against £1,239 million, with passenger carryings up by 13.5% to 31.7 million.
Chief executive Andy Harrison said: “Following strong April revenue results, which benefited from the timing of Easter, the positive performance has continued in May with rolling 12 month revenue up 21.1% compared with the same period last year.”
