Easyjet Holidays takes off

Easyjet Holidays went on sale this week for the first time, selling exclusively through Teletext Holidays.

The debut of what some industry insiders are saying could eventually become a rival to TUI and Thomas Cook, Easyjet Holidays is the creation of the Easyjet brand plus bedbank lowcostbeds.com.

The holidays will be based around the 30 destinations that Easyjet flies to. A website will be launched in March.

Teletext Holidays managing director Victoria Sanders said: “We’re thrilled to be the exclusive pre-launch partner for Easyjet Holidays. It’s an exciting move for the travel industry and we are working closely with the team to drive sales in the first few weeks.

“With the investment we have made in the business – and raising the profile of our brand – this partnership shows the confidence that travel partners have in our ability to deliver high volume traffic and calls.”

Head of ancillary revenue at Easyjet Nick Hughes added: “This will provide customers exclusive access to an extensive holiday offering.  We know that customers will enjoy the great value that Easyjet Holidays offer as well as fully flexible, consumer protected holiday
options."
