EasyJet offers car hire dynamic packaging

Monday, 06 Oct, 2005 0

EasyJet has taken a step closer to a full dynamic packaging system by building car rental into its website.

The partnership with Europcar will see car hire simultaneously calculated while customers are booking a flight. They will then be given the option to add the car rental which will be bolted on to the flight.

While Europcar has been offering car hire to easyJet customers via a dedicated website since 2003, it is the first time both elements can be packaged together under a single transaction.

The carrier’s online partnership manager Rachel Start said: “We were one of the first low cost airlines to introduce travel insurance into the flight booking process earlier this year. We already offer a variety of travel products as easyjet.com and now, with this new offering, we are nearer to offering a complete travel solution to our customers.”

By creating a package with a single payment, easyJet said its customers are now covered by the package travel regulations. An announcement is due soon over its bonding.
