easyJet steps up price pressure
EasyJet has introduced a price guarantee offering to refund double the difference on flights offered cheaper by competitor carriers on identical routes.
The deal – similar to those offered by tour operators on package holidays – covers booking made between today (June 4) and Friday, June 8, for travel in June or July.
“If a customer does find a lower comparable competitor fare, they will need to provide evidence once the easyJet reservation has been made to claim the refund,” the airline said.
The measure is the latest in a line of initiatives by budget carriers as they attempt to lure passengers to fly outside the main peak school holiday travel periods.
