Easyjet takes Edinburgh service to fourth London airport
EasyJet will introduce the first direct flight between Edinburgh and London Southend from May 2.
The new link will operate six times per week, with fares starting from £31.49 one way per person, based on two people travelling together.
Hugh Aitken, head of Scotland for easyJet, said: "The new link will provide greater flexibility for business travellers as they can now choose between Edinburgh and four different London airports covering all main access points to the city."
Next month easyJet adds a seventh aircraft to Edinburgh Airport and launches new routes to Reykjavik, Hamburg, Berlin, Copenhagen, Prague and Dubrovnik.
It currently operate London flights from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness.
