EasyJet unveils plans for Manchester growth
EasyJet has announced plans to increase its presence at Manchester over the coming years.
A sixth aircraft joined its Manchester fleet last week and a seventh aircraft is due to arrive in time for the 2012 summer season.
The airline recently announced plans to start services from Manchester to Madrid, Berlin and Belfast this autumn and said potential new routes are being analysed.
EasyJet launched at Manchester with five routes in March 2008 following the acquisition of GB Airways and now offers 26 routes from Manchester.
Andrew Harrison, Manchester Airport’s managing director, said: “This agreement will see more based aircraft at Manchester, equalling more destinations and further growth in the future.”
