EasySell Package will ‘make pricing transparent’
WTM Special: Comtec is launching a new version of EasySell during WTM.
Easysell Package, the upgraded search and booking system, will offer what Comtec is claiming to be three industry firsts: Fully-inclusive pricing, alternative flight options on holidays, and a quick link to electronic brochures.
It is being previewed today at Custom House Hotel, and will be available during the first quarter next year.
EasySell Package, which offers products from 55 operators, can provide agents with a comprehensive quote including operator supplements – potentially eliminating the bugbear of “hidden extras”.
Comtec group chief executive, Simon Powell said: “In the past the travel industry has been criticised for not making pricing transparent. EasySell Package addresses this issue by enabling agents to present the complete cost of a holiday.”
EasySell Package also enables agents to access alternative flight options for the same holiday, giving consumers a wider choice of departure times. A further feature is that agents can view brochure pictures through linking to electronic brochure pages.
To complete a booking with EasySell Package, agents are connected from the chosen holiday in the search screen to the appropriate page in the operator’s reservations system. The booking data is translated using XML to TravelCat, the agency management system.
EasySell Package is powered by the Comtec Transaction Centre (CTC), a warehouse of current late and full season holiday and charter flight availability from operator reservation systems.
