Ebookers shares push ahead

Travel and tourism shares saw mainly downward movements yesterday as London’s main equity indices lost ground.

The FTSE 100 index slumped dropped some 30.4 points to end the day at 4485.4, while the FTSE 250 fell by 84.2 points and closed at 6264.2.

British Airways dropped 8.5p after a positive session the previous day, while Easyjet lost 5.5p to end the day at 302p. The best performance came from the online retailer ebookers, which ended the session at 310.75p, up 8p.
