Ecuador tourism taking a North American road trip
Ecuador’s Ministry of Tourism will embark on a 10-day road show across North America aimed at boosting destination awareness to tour operators, travel agents and media.
As part of its long term ‘All You Need Is Ecuador’ campaign, tourism officials have joined forces with 20 major Ecuadorian tour operators and suppliers for a daily series of events taking place from May 4-15.
The tourism road show kicks off on May 4 in Vancouver and will visit numerous cities such as Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, New York and finally Atlanta.
"Ecuador is a unique destination that offers visitors an experience unlike any other. Through the ‘All You Need Is Ecuador’ road show we are confident we will be able to showcase the beauty, diversity, and vast culture that our country has to offer," said Cristina Rivadeneira of the Ecuador Ministry of Tourism.
"While we have participated in similar initiatives in the past, this is the first time we will be making so many consecutive stops and covering such a wide territory with the best of our tourism offerings."
Ecuador has been beefing up its marketing reach in recent months and earlier this year splashed out almost $4 million for a coveted 30-second ad spot during Super Bowl half time.
