Eiffel Tower evacuated over terror threat
A large area around Paris’ Eiffel Tower is said to have been cordoned off by police this afternoon, with people told to stay away from the area.
Local media reported that police have been told that a bomb has been placed inside the landmark tower.
French journalist Amaury Bucco tweeted: "Perimeter of Tour Eiffel cordoned off, police operation in progress," citing a police source.
