Emirates launching A380 service to Bengaluru
The Indian tech hub of Bengaluru is the latest city to receive Emirates’ flagship A380 service.
It will be introduced for the first time to Bengaluru from 30 October to serve its customers on the busy route.
Emirates becomes the first airline to operate scheduled passenger services with the A380 at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport.
Bengaluru becomes the second city in India to be served by the superjumbo after the Dubai – Mumbai route.
The A380 flights from Dubai to Bengaluru will operate as EK568/569 with an aircraft in a three-class configuration, offering seats in Economy Class, in addition to premium cabins, in Business Class and First Class.
The deployment of the double-decker aircraft will complement existing services on wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft.
Emirates started operations to India in 1985 with its scheduled services to Mumbai and Delhi and has been serving customers in Bengaluru since 2006.
From the UK
Emirates has nine daily flights originating from the UK to Bengaluru with connections in Dubai of less than three and a half hours.
It includes three from London Heathrow, one from London Gatwick, one from Birmingham, two from Manchester, one from Newcastle, and one from Glasgow.
By October 2022, the airline will be serving the UK with 110 weekly flights to Dubai.
