Emirates launching Penang flights
Gulf carrier Emirates plans to launch its second Malaysian route this spring.
It will fly daily from its Dubai hub to Penang starting on April 9, 2020.
Emirates has been flying to Kuala Lumpur for more than 20 years and now operates three times a day.
The Penang flight will be linked with Singapore.
"The new route will provide direct access for Singaporean travellers to the popular destination of Penang," Emirates said.
The route will be served by three-class Boeing 777 jets which include eight private suites in First Class.
"We have grown from strength to strength since our partnership with Malaysia began in 1996, and hope that we continue to serve Malaysians for many years to come," said Emirates regional manager, Mohammad Al Attar.
