Emirates to add more flights to Dubai from London and regions

Emirates is to add more flights between the UK and Dubai before Christmas after the British government announced quarantine-free travel between the two destinations.

The airline will add flights from London Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, starting from 27 November, providing a boost for agents and operators looking to arrange last-minute winter sun holidays.

Dnata brands including Gold Medal and Travel Republic announced this week that they’d seen a spike in bookings for Dubai since it was added to the UK travel corridors list last Thursday.

At London Heathrow, Emirates’ current twice daily A380 and once daily Boeing 777 flights will become four daily A380 services from 27 November.

Emirates’ services to Manchester will increase from the current eight-a-week to 10 flights a week from 1 December, of which six will be served by an Emirates double-decker A380 and four with a Boeing 777-300ER.

The Dubai-based airline will also increase flights from Birmingham and Glasgow from 27 November.

UK travellers will need to show a negative Covid-19 PCR test to enter Dubai. This can be taken 96 hours in advance of their flight or they can opt for a test on arrival.

Currently there is a ban on all leisure travel from the UK during the lockdown, which is due to end on 2 December.
