Ensemble Travel Group is making its first foray outside North America with the launch of Ensemble Australia/New Zealand.

The new division will have new members onboard in about three months, said  co-president Lyndsay Pearlman.

"Ensemble is a nimble and dynamic group, and our agent and partner-focused model is right for today’s thriving Australia/New Zealand market," said Pearlman.

The company announced Trish Shepherd as senior vice president and general manager of Ensemble Australia/New Zealand.

Shepherd was head of development at American Express Travel Network franchises in Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific.

"There is an incredible opportunity within the Australian/New Zealand market to create a new program for travel professionals, one which put the needs of its members first," said Shepherd.

"Travel agency owners want a relationship that is a true partnership, and that is what we are going to create with Ensemble."

Ensemble said it has been looking to expand in Australasia for about three years.
