Etihad Airways Launches Daily Sydney Flights
Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates, will introduce a daily flight from Sydney from June 30.
Etihad launched its Sydney route in March 2007, offers flights to the new hub of Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE, and onwards to 42 destinations including Europe, North America and the Middle East.
Cramer Ball, Etihad Airways’ country manager for Australia, said: “We can now offer the Australian traveller more choice and we look forward to welcome even more customers on board from Saturday onwards. The increased number of flights will also cater for the growing demand for air travel between the UAE and Australia from business and leisure travellers, which is growing year on year.”
Sydney flights are served by a three cabin Airbus A340-500 which is configured to carry up to 240 passengers.
Etihad has designed its schedule to allow its customers on the Sydney to Abu Dhabi flight to connect conveniently with several of the airline’s European destinations, including London Heathrow.
Flights leave Sydney at 2.30pm daily.
