European Travel Commission selects DestiCorp for new media strategy
The European Travel Commission (ETC), with 33 European countries as members, has appointed consultants DestiCorp to work with its New Media Group to prepare and implement ETC’s new media strategy.
DestiCorp will also be playing a key role in organizing the Group’s programme of activities and events – including the E-business Academy and research studies.
Nick Markson, Vice-Chairman of the New Media Group and EU Policy Manager for the British Tourist Authority, said: “DestiCorp was chosen ahead of three other consultancies following the Group’s recent call for proposals. The selection board was impressed by the company’s grasp of destination marketing issues and their visionary thinking”.
Anna Pollock, Chief Executive Officer of DestiCorp, expressed the company’s delight at being awarded the contract and said: “The individual countries that contribute to Europe’s appeal as a tourism destination have much to gain from this collaborative approach. We’re thrilled to be involved and confident we can add value to this endeavour”.
