Eurostar says it plans to lay on extra services to Paris over the bank holiday weekend in order to meet demand from the ash cloud disruption.
The operator will run one extra train on Friday and one on Saturday from London St Pancras to Paris Gare Du Nord and back.
The extra Friday and Saturday services leave London at 10.01am, arriving in Paris at 13.17. The return leg will depart Paris at 14.43 and arrive in London at 15.59.
Director of Communications for Eurostar Mary Walsh said: “Our services are always busy over bank holiday weekends, but we have seen a spike in demand over the next few days following the ash cloud disruption. We continue to monitor the situation and if the demand for tickets grows further we are in a position to lay on more additional services.”
