Eurotunnel sees 17 per cent rise in passenger vehicles
Cross-Channel train service Le Shuttle carried 17% more passenger vehicles in April compared to the same month last year.
The operator said the increase was due to the shift in the Easter weekend.
Since the start of the year, passenger traffic has been stable with nearly 722,000 cars carried.
Le Shuttle saw a 6% drop in freight vehicles last month, which it also attributed to the late Easter. Since the start of the year, truck traffic has fallen 2%.
