Event Hotels acquires Keystone hotel portfolio
European hotel operator Event Hotels announced the acquisition of the Keystone Portfolio.
It comprises 17 hotels under the ibis and Mercure brands across Germany, totalling 2,021 guest rooms in locations stretching from Bremen to Munich).
“This acquisition marks one of the largest investments in our 30-year history and represents another milestone,” said Anders Braks, Owner and CEO of Event Hotels. “
The portfolio of hotels are in high-demand markets such as Bremen, Frankfurt, Cologne, Nuremberg, and Munich, all key destinations for business travellers, trade fair visitors, and conference attendees.
Koblenz, located on the Rhine, is a popular tourist destination with significant leisure demand and is home to the largest hotel in the portfolio, the 168-room Mercure Koblenz City.
Additional locations including Bamberg, Paderborn, Würzburg, Duisburg, and Sindelfingen offer growth potential in the midscale and budget segments.
Event Hotels plans targeted refurbishments, upgrades, and guest experience improvements.
