Ex-Hayes & Jarvis boss becomes Travel 2/4 m-d
The former head of Hayes & Jarvis Maria Whiteman has become managing director for Travel 2 Travel 4.
She replaces Shaun Hinds who decided to leave the Cendant TDS-owned company to spend more time with his family.
Reporting to Chris Vukelich, chief operating officer for Cendant TDS’ EMEA region, Whiteman will have responsibility for the day to day operation, strategic direction and ongoing growth of the operator.
She will immediately start looking at ways that Travel 2 Travel 4 can enhance and improve the experience for its travel agency customers through both technology and content, a statement said.
With more than 15 year’s experience in the travel industry, Whiteman has held a range of roles in resort management, product development, purchasing, commercial, sales and marketing for both the AirMiles Travel Company and TUI UK.
Vukelich described her as an “inspirational and results-driven leader”.
Whiteman said: “Travel 2 Travel 4 is a great brand which is well respected by both travel agents and suppliers and I’m very excited to be joining the business and am looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead.”
