Expat Expo to showcase Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR – Kuala Lumpur is to play host to Malaysia’s first ever expo devoted purely to expatriate living.

The Expat Expo ’07: Senses of Malaysia will take place at the KL Convention Centre on September 29-30.

On display will be more than 100 booths dedicated to elements of life in Malaysia ranging from the expat associations, to local travel and buying a holiday apartment to the government’s “Malaysia My Second Home” scheme.

Seminars will also cover topics as diverse as buying a car, where to go diving, owning a local company and choosing the right home.

The exhibition is being organised by Expat magazine, a 132-page glossy monthly which caters for Malaysia’s rapidly expanding expat population.

The publisher and founder of the exhibition Andy Davison said, “Malaysia has never played host to anything like this. The hope is that this expo will allow new visitors and current expats to see what a wonderful country Malaysia is while highlighting the many attractions it has to offer those of us who have moved here from abroad.”
