Expedia and American patch things up
American Airlines and Expedia have made up after a row over online distribution.
The airline’s fares and schedules are now available on the website and its affiliate Hotwire.
Expedia had stopped selling AA flights at the start of this year when the two companies fell out over AA’s plans to push sales through its own website, rather than through the GDS.
The move angered the travel trade, who accused the airline of being anti-competitive.
A statement from the airline said Expedia plans to access American’s fares, schedules, and customised travel products and services "via American’s direct connect link by using aggregation technology provided by a GDS".
