Expedia, Discover in sales pact
Expedia Travel Agents Affiliate Programme (TAAP) has appointed Discover the World Marketing as its sales partners in Australia and New Zealand.
Discover has taken over the sales and first level customer support for the Expedia TAAP.
Launched in March in Australia and New Zealand, Expedia TAAP has more than 3,000 Aussie and Kiwi agents now using the programme.
“The appointment of a strong local business partner was always in the plan but the initial success of the TAAP has brought forward many of our growth plans,†said Stuart Udy Expedia manager for travel agent distribution in APAC.
“For us, Discover is a perfect choice. They are strong in many international markets with great representation experience but, most importantly, Discover have a very strong customer service and support culture which is paramount in us choosing a service partner.â€
The Expedia, Discover working partnership follows similar strategies in Europe with Discover representing the TAAP programme in France and Germany.
“Other markets such as India and Japan are also being discussed in relation to future launch plans in those markets,” Udy said.
