Expedia starts selling Avis
Expedia has appointed Avis its preferred supplier for car rental.
The online travel agent has signed a merchant business agreement with Avis, similar to the agreement it has set up with hotel suppliers. Expedia will sell car rental in 15 countries in North America and Europe. Customers book over the web, and are given a confirmation number to disclose when they pick up the rental car.
A spokesperson told TravelMole that Expedia would continue to sell car rental from Holiday Autos.
Expedia has pledged to be all-includive and transparent in its pricing system.
