Explosion rocks Macau hotel
More than a dozen people are believed to have been injured in an explosion at Macau’s Hotel Golden Dragon early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at around 7 am local time and police are investigating.
Firefighters said they suspected a gas leak led to the blast.
Meanwhile, official statistics show Macau's visitor arrivals in June this year reached 2.18m million, up 14.5 percent over the same month of 2010.
Of all the arrivals in June, 52.4 percent spent only one day in Macau, with about 641,186 arrivals coming from the Chinese mainland.
