Face masks now mandatory on AirAsia flights
AirAsia has issued a range of passenger safety guidelines ahead of its service restart, including the mandatory wearing of face masks.
Customers have been emailed with extensive fit-to-fly guidelines.
It lists a range of measures the airline is taking to restrict contact between cabin crew and passengers.
It says guests without a face mask will be denied boarding.
"First and foremost, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are eligible to travel, be it international or domestic before booking a flight," the airline said.
Temperature screening will be conducted at various checkpoints, including at boarding gates, and there will be social distancing measures in airports and on planes ‘when flight occupancy allows.’
The airline has expanded contactless web and mobile check-in to limit close interaction at the airport and there will be strict limits on carry-on baggage ‘to help minimise unwanted contact between you and another guests’ baggage.’
