Fairmont to open St Lucia beachfront resort
AccorHotels-owned operator Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced a new St Lucia resort is in the works.
Fairmont Saint Lucia at Sunset Bay will have 120 guest rooms and suites and 40 residential villas.
Expected to open in late 2019, the luxury resort will feature four restaurants and bars, a Fairmont spa, swimming pool and meetings space.
It will also have a marina with moorings for yachts.
"We are thrilled to be announcing this exciting new resort development on Saint Lucia, a premium destination of choice in the Caribbean. This resort marks the continued expansion of Fairmont’s rapidly growing portfolio of highly sought after luxury vacation resorts around the world," said Kevin Frid, COO, North & Central America for AccorHotels.
It has been designed by WATG and Wimberly Interiors and will feature contemporary décor with a nod to the natural landscape.
Fairmont also has a presence in the region in Barbados and Bermuda, among more than 70 hotels globally.
Recent openings include Fairmont Quasar Istanbul, Fairmont Chengdu in Western China and Fairmont Fujairah in the Middle East.
Fairmont is opening its largest hotel yet in Austin, TX later this year.
