Fernandes resigns as AirAsia X CEO
Tony Fernandes has stepped down from his position as the group chief executive officer of AirAsia X.
The AirAsia founder says the initial task to restart AirAsia X has been achieved and he will now concentrate on the Capital A parent business which includes the airline units.
No official replacement was announced but executive chairman Tunku Datuk Mahmood Fawzy will be appointed as independent non-executive director of Thai AirAsia X, overseeing AirAsia X and Thai AirAsia X.
