Ferries resume after Calais blockade
Ferry services to and from Calais have resumed following yesterday’s protests by former MyFerryLink workers, however there are delays on some services this morning.
In a new wave of industrial action, which coincided with the end of the school holidays and the bank holiday weekend in the UK, protesters blockaded the port with lifeboats, bringing ferry services to a halt.
This morning, DFDS Seaways said its services to Calais were running up to 70 minutes behind schedule but passengers are advised to check in on time for their crossing, and P&O said services had resumed but were still being delayed by up to 35 minutes.
