Fexco signs regional travel agency deal

Regional agency group Dawson and Sanderson is to incorporate online travel services firm Fexco AllTravel’s private rate hotel inventory PlacesToStay.

PlacesToStay is the rebranded former CNG Travel Group online hotel reservation programme bought by FEXCO in October. It provides real time online reservations with more than 25,000 hotel properties offering competitive rates and commission.

The deals follow similar agreements in the summer with travel technology providers CodeGen, Ramedian and Ramesys, multi-agency parent company P&P Associates, and dynamic packaging business lowcostbeds.com.

Dawson and Sanderson, which has 25 offices located mainly in the North East, has invested in online travel services, providing products such as package holidays, hotels, flights, cruises, car rental, foreign exchange and travel insurance through eight dedicated websites. It also owns business travel agency Corporate Travel Services.

Dawson and Sanderson managing director Chris Pattison said: “Our long heritage of providing quality service and superior choice from our high street locations underpinned our very successful development of online services for our customers.

“By accessing our varied websites, they can instantly review a superior range of travel products and book quickly and securely. We’re always looking to provide more choice and therefore value, which is why we’ve agreed to add PlacesToStay hotel inventory to our offer.”

Fexco AllTravel’s head of business development and distribution Tim Wright said: “The Dawson and Sanderson deal is a significant coup for Fexco and we’re delighted to be working with one of Britain’s largest independent agency businesses. Once again, it shows the value we can deliver and the confidence that travel professionals have in our PlacesToStay proposition.”
