FHA’s Seaside Walk Week returns this summer
The Family Holiday Association’s Seaside Walk Week is returning this summer.
Events take place at three locations – Scarborough, London and North Cornwall – from July 22-30.
The launch is taking place this weekend in Scarborough with walks and an exclusive out-of-hours access to Scarborough SEALIFE Sanctuary for all participants after the walk has finished.
The Thames Treasure Trail takes place on July 26-27 after working hours. With clues and questions from the British Guild of Tourist Guides (Blue Badge Guides), the trail will take about 90 minutes to complete starting at Monument and ending with drinks and prize-giving at a pub near Blackfriars station.
The final walk will take place in North Cornwall on July 30 hosted by Mother’s Ivey Bay Holiday Park and guided by rangers from the National Trust who will lead walkers around the Trevose Head stretch of coast.
Walkers are invited back to Mother Ivey’s Bay Holiday Park after the walk for refreshments from Wadebridge Foodbank, a BBQ on the beach and sandcastle competition.
The funds raised from Seaside Walk Week enable the Family Holiday Association to provide children and their families with a short break or day trip to the British seaside.
