Fighter jets scrambled after mid-air bomb scare
Fighter jets were scrambled to escort a passenger jet after a passenger falsely claimed there was a bomb on board.
The Singapore Airlines’ flight from San Francisco was escorted to Singapore where a 37-year-old man was arrested.
The plane landed safely in Changi Airport where the plane was searched for a potential device but turned-out to be a hoax.
The man faces charges of making false threats of terrorist acts. He also allegedly assaulted a crew member.
