Finnair ditching in-flight shopping
Finnair is ending inflight retail service in response to changing customer shopping habits.
Consumers are increasingly purchasing via the online Finnair shop.
The removal of inflight retail products will decrease overall aircraft weight which will contribute toward lower fuel bills.
To mark the end of the inflight retails service, Finnair has launched a final discount campaign.
There are savings of up to 40% on cosmetics, accessories and gifts either bought on board or pre-ordered.
It comes to an end on February 28.
Pre-order meals and onboard snacks and beverages will still be available.
Finnair Plus members can also continue to buy Finnair Plus awards and products.
In-flight shopping is currently still available on Finnair’s long-haul flights, services from the UK and some non EU short haul routes
