First Choice bolsters adventure offering with deals worth £16.6m
First Choice has acquired three niche adventure travel companies in a combined £16.6 million deal which could rise to more than £30 million depending on performance.
UK-based i-to-i, described as a leader in charitable tourism; Chicago-based online adventure travel firm iExplore and Australian firm WesternXposure are the companies purchased.
Frst Choice chief executive Peter Long said: “We have established a leading presence in the adventure travel market, not only in the UK but also internationally.
“I am delighted 1-to-I, iExplore and WesternXposure have joining the group as part of the activity holiday sector.
“We have led the way in consolidating this fragmented growth area and these three businesses give us the opportunity to enter new segments of the marketplace, broaden our product range, offer exciting growth prospects and wider-scale future development prospects.”
