First Seaside EVO-class ship named as MSC Seashore
MSC Cruises celebrated the steel cutting of the first of its two Seaside EVO-class ships, announcing it will be named MSC Seashore.
The ship will launch in 2021.
It is the next update on the line’s Seaside-class vessels which will see an expanded MSC Yacht Club, additional specialty dining venues and 200 additional staterooms.
It will also have larger public spaces.
"We are taking this concept to the next level by starting the construction of a further evolved and even richer ship," said MSC Cruises’ executive chairman Pierfrancesco Vago.
The cruise line says the Seaside EVO ships offer enhanced environmental technology using exhaust gas cleaning technology, better waste management and recycling, and advanced shipboard water treatment.
It will be the largest ship ever built in Italy, said Giuseppe Bono, CEO of shipbuilder Fincantieri.
