Five-star booking tool
Fivestaralliance.com is a new luxury hotel booking site that limits its inventory to four-and-five star properties.
The site features more than 1,000 hotels from boutiques to chains.
There are not 1,000 hotels with five stars. But Eric Koefoot, the company’s chief executive, says Mobil and AAA ratings are studied before the site makes its own judgments.
Hotels do not pay a fee to get on the list; instead, commissions are offered for reservations.
“The goal of the site is to provide a booking tool exclusively for luxury properties,” said Mr Koefoot, as well as to provide more information on specific hotel features.
