Flight Centre plans new land-based brochures

Saturday, 21 Jun, 2004 0

A portfolio of brochures featuring land stays is being developed by Flight Centre.

The 90-strong chain has recuited Jane Nicholson as product director from the Lotus Group’s Dial A Flight division to drive its land sales business. Ms Nicholson was formerly UK sales manager for AAT Kings before joining Lotus eight year ago.

Her first project for Flight Centre is a USE Highlights brochure featuring key destinations such as Florida, California and New York plus fly-drive options. Far East and Australia programmes are being planned.

Ms Nicholson said: “Our focus is on growing land sales and part of the strategy to achieve this is to produce a series of Flight Centre branded brochures that will help our consultants sell popular destinations such as the USA, Asia and Australia.”

She added that the USA brochure had been developed as a “tactical piece to capitalise on US sales during the peak booking months of June and July”.

Prices lead-in at £40 per person per night in New York and £13 a night in Orlando.
