Flight makes emergency landing in Cork
A flight from Belfast to Barcelona was forced to make an emergency landing in Cork after a suspected fuel leak.
The Europe Airpost Boeing 737 with 144 passengers and six crew on board, who were flying with Air Contractors, landed safely just before midnight and was attended to by emergency crews
Unconfirmed reports suggested the plane circled the airport three times before it was able to land. There are no reports of any injuries and the passengers were put up in local hotels for night.
"We activated our emergency plan but the plane landed safely," an airport spokesman said. "The plane is grounded subject to inspection but it’s not thought there was a leak."
