Flights to Italy cancelled today as workers strike
British Airways has cancelled a number of flights to Italy tomorrow due to the threat of industrial action across the country.
EasyJet is also warning that its services might be hit as ground handling operations in Verona and Pisa are likely to be affected.
BA said it has cancelled ‘a small number of flights’. To minimise disruption, it has upgraded a number of other flights to larger aircraft.
The airline has also introduced flexible booking options for customers likely to be affected.
EasyJet said: "We expect that there will be delays and cancellations due to the industrial action, therefore we advise all customers to check the status of their flight on our flight tracker either on our mobile app or website: www.easyjet.com/en/flight-tracker
"Although this situation is outside of our control we would like to apologise to any affected passengers for the inconvenience caused."
The airline said that passengers would not be entitled to compensation as a result on the industrial action.
