Flybe aircraft in emergency landing
Passengers were evacuated from a Flybe aircraft after it made an emergency landing at Leeds-Bradford Airport.
The 18 month old Dash 8 aircraft was en-route from Birmingham to Edinburgh when the cabin filled with smoke and it was forced to land at the Yorkshire airport.
All 56 passengers and four crew escaped safely and Flybe said an investigation has been launched into the incident, the BBC reported.
One passenger was quoted as saying the aircraft came down with “an almighty bang” in the emergency landing after smoke appeared in the cabin.
