Flybe exec moves to Malaysia Airlines
Flybe chief commercial officer Paul Simmons is leaving to join Malaysia Airlines in January 2016.
Following his departure, the airline will split the chief commercial officer job into two roles, both on the operating board reporting to CEO, Saad Hammad.
There will be a separate role for network planning and development to ensure the airline drives network expansion.
The second role is to lead the remaining commercial teams, which include sales and marketing and customer care.
Flybe has started the recruitment process for both roles.
Saad Hammad, Flybe’s CEO said: "Paul joined Flybe in 2013 and has had a strong impact in improving our customer proposition and refreshing our brand presentation.
"He has been offered a great role at Malaysian Airlines and will be with us for up to six months to ensure a smooth transition of his responsibilities.
"We would like to thank Paul for his leadership, contribution and commitment to Flybe over the past two years."
