Flybe expands fleet with leased Q400 aircraft
Newly re-established Flybe Ltd has begun flying the first of five Aergo Capital De Havilland-Canada Q400 aircraft under a long-term lease agreement.
It will enable the airline to expand to a total of 32 aircraft over the next few years.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Aergo Capital and grow our fleet. Passenger comfort and environmental sustainability have been a key focus area for Flybe from day one, said Dave Pflieger, CEO of Flybe Ltd:
“In short, these planes are comfortable, fast, and quiet, and they can complete short journeys almost as quickly as a regional jet.”
The Q400 aircraft do not have middle seats.
Fred Browne, Chief Executive Officer of Aergo, said: “We are pleased this delivery will help Flybe reach their environmental sustainability objectives and we look forward to delivering the remaining aircraft.”
