Flybe promotes finance chief
Flybe group finance director Andrew Knuckey has been promoted to the board-level position of chief financial officer.
Knuckey, who joined the airline from ROK in 2005, played a key role in the completion of the acquisition of BA Connect.
He succeeds CFO and deputy chief executive Chris Simpson who is to stand down after a four-month hand-over period for personal reasons.
The airline has also appointed chief commercial officer Mike Rutter and chief operating officer Andrew Strong to the group board alongside Knuckey.
Chairman and CEO Jim French said: “Andrew’s appointment as CFO further strengthens the management team at Flybe. Meanwhile, I am delighted that he, along with Mike Rutter and Andrew Strong, who have also made significant contributions to the development of the business, will be joining the board.
“With our highly regarded non executive directors we now have an exceptionally strong board and management team to take Flybe into the next and exciting period of the group’s development.”
