Flybe takes over Newquay to Southend flight
Flybe has announced it will take over the Newquay to Southend route dropped by easyJet earlier this month.
The three-times a week service, which will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, will be on sale from tomorrow (28th).
Flights are available for an extended summer season, from May 16 to September 27.
Paul Simmons, Flybe’s chief commercial officer, said: "It was an easy decision to keep this route alive.
"We will be flying it for an extended four-month summer season, and look forward to welcoming all of our new customers on board."
London Southend airport operations director, David Lister, said: "We are delighted to welcome Flybe back to London Southend Airport, continuing the route to Newquay which proved popular in summer 2013 with the local Essex community and also with Cornish people travelling to London."
