Flybe unveils new routes and shuttle initiative
Flybe has launched new routes from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Inverness to London City Airport in a major expansion.
The new services include up to two flights a day between Aberdeen/Inverness and London City as well as up to four flights a day between Edinburgh and London City.
Meanwhile, Flybe has also launched a Flybe ShuttleTM service. This service flies between Aberdeen and Jersey stopping off at Southampton and Leeds Bradford on the way, where passengers depart and join, like a train, during the brief touch-downs.
This means passengers on UK flights can stay on the plane between landing and take-off, avoiding the trouble of changing aircraft – although passengers from the Channel Islands will have to disembark to clear customs.
There will be up to three flights a day serving the shuttle route, flying both northbound and southbound.
