Foreign Office warns of protests in Cambodian capital
The Foreign Office has warned about traffic disruption and protests in the capital city of Cambodia which are expected to continue until Tuesday.
Yesterday a second mass protest took place in Phnom Penh over the general election results in July.
The main opposition party is disputing the results and has called for an investigation into alleged irregularities in the electoral process.
The Foreign Office said: "Roadblocks were set up around Phnom Penh causing traffic disruption and some clashes occurred between protesters and police in central Phnom Penh.
"The protests are set to continue on 16 and 17 September. You should avoid such gatherings, follow local media and monitor Travel Advice for updates."
