Former Air Miles manager joins First Choice

First Choice Independent Travel has appointed former Air Miles manager Roger Johnson as general manager of scheduled aviation.

Part of his role will be to ensure the smooth implementation of Amadeus as Unijet’s new GDS.

“Roger will be bringing a wealth of experience within the travel industry especially in the scheduled air market,” said First Choice Independent Travel managing director Kyle Haughton. “He will help us move Unijet forward onto our new system supported by the appointment of Amadeus as our new GDS.”

Johnson has previously held the roles of area sales manager for Continental Airlines, general manager UK and Ireland for Austrian Airlines Group and senior product and purchasing manager for Air Miles loyalty programme.
