Barrhead Travel today announced that Trevor Davis will join the company next month as new business development director.

Following the new joint venture with Thomas Cook, he was director of specialist businesses, which included overseeing the growth and development of The Freedom Travel Group Consortia, The Co-operative Personal Travel Advisors (Home-Working Division) and Thomas Cook’s Affinity business.
In his new role at Barrhead, he include oversee the expansion of its franchise, homeworking and affinity divisions, particularly in England.
As a member of the Barrhead Travel board, he will also be involved in strategic planning for the travel group.
"I have admired Barrhead Travel for a long time, and have always had a very cordial relationship with Bill and Sharon Munro, so this was a new challenge I couldn’t resist," said Davis.
"I see it as an exciting opportunity to raise the brand profile in areas of the UK other than Scotland, and to continue expansion of the organisation."
Barrhead chairman Bill Munro said: "Barrhead Travel plans to increase business in a wide range of different areas in the coming months, not least by expanding our branch network and our homeworker numbers, so Trevor’s input will be invaluable in helping us to achieve this."
