Former NCL Europe MD joins Kuoni parent
Kuoni parent DER Touristik has appointed former Norwegian Cruise Line’s EMEA managing director Christian Boell.
Starting in November, Boell will be responsible for developing a group-wide cruise strategy for DER Touristik, focusing on sales and marketing.
Cruise activities will, however, remain a part of the different group units and tour operator brands at a local level.
DER Touristik CEO Sören Hartmann said: "DER Touristik is already one of the largest European sales agents for cruises. In future, we want to expand this activity in a targeted manner."
Boell, who is 51, joined became NCL Europe MD in 2015 and left earlier this year following a restructure.
He has also held managerial positions at Aida Cruises and Nicko Cruises.
